NACOSS.org.ng is Nigeria’s dedicated biographical archive — a living, growing record of the men and women whose stories have defined our history, culture, science, politics, and everyday life.

Who we are

NACOSS was founded on a simple but powerful conviction: every Nigerian life worth living is worth remembering. We are a team of journalists, historians, researchers, and storytellers committed to building the most authoritative and accessible biographical database of Nigerians — past and present.

From founding fathers and freedom fighters to artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, and community leaders, we document the full breadth of Nigerian achievement — not just the celebrated few, but the quietly remarkable many.

“History is only as rich as the stories we choose to tell — and we choose to tell them all.”

Our mission

We exist to ensure that Nigeria’s biographical heritage is never lost to time, neglect, or selective memory. Our mission is to research, write, and freely publish accurate, dignified, and deeply human biographies of Nigerians from every walk of life — available to students, scholars, journalists, and curious readers worldwide.

Every biography on NACOSS is fact-checked, sourced, and reviewed before publication. We do not publish rumour. We publish record.

What we stand for

Accuracy

Every fact is verified. Every claim is sourced. We hold our work to the highest editorial standards.

Inclusivity

We document Nigerians from all ethnicities, religions, regions, and professions — without bias or hierarchy.

Open access

Our biographies are freely available to all. Knowledge about our people should belong to our people.

Dignity

We write about people with respect, care, and the depth each human story deserves.
